POSITION DESCRIPTION: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

RESPONSIBLE TO: Social Planning Council Oxford Board

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Executive Director is responsible to the Board of Directors for implementing the vision, mission, policies and strategic plans established by the Board of Directors.

The Executive Director is primarily concerned with initiating and deciding on matters of planning, organization, staffing, co-ordination and evaluation of the Social Planning Council.  The Executive Director incorporates best practices in all areas of work, integrating the values and working principles of the organization.  She/he assists and advises the Board of Directors in developing policies and programs to address the present and future issues of concern in Oxford County.
